Picked up two hamburgers and French fries at a local restaurant. With tip was $40. Crazy!

Cost is rising as the quality is declining.

"Hugs first prosecutors." You deserve an Emmy for that one line alone! Hilarious and sadly so accurate, unless you're a normal person who defends themselves against an attack and doesn't die quietly.

Food in general will soon be a luxury 😂

Wow, only 78% say its a luxury? You can make a complete, wholesome meal at home for under $3 per serving. You are paying a huge premium to avoid the mess and save time. This is how it has always been.

In this house hold all restaurant meals are luxuries.

This is always the story of socialism at first the poor and naive or the spoilet want more money assumed from those who have more, but after years of declining economies, higher unemployment, no business growth, declining currency values, it always leads to dystopian poverty for all but the few elite in charge. George Santayana said it best, "Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it."

Don’t forget the Gov mandated that $15+ min wage!

And they have the balls to request a damn TIP.

I stopped at McDonalds yesterday for an emergency smallest burger and fry...$9.84. I'm retired and can afford this once or twice a month. What about a family with several children...it's scary. .P.S. have not had a big mac in 35 years...

I quit eating that garbage around 20 years ago. I'd never consider paying those prices even if I still ate it.

So glad I pushed myself to live with less enabling me to save money for retirement. Most around me are struggling and complaining yet insist on eating out every day for lunch, driving financed late model SUVs and large trucks, etc. I am not "cheap", just learned to live with less. Wish those that have asked me what to do would take my humlke advice to heart but alas, it's too late for most. This does not negate the irresponsible behavior of our corrupt gov and those they enable, just hoping someone reads this and finds a way to trim the fat in their life and survive (maybe even thrive).

What emerges from all of the professor's videos is this: the "reality gap" between the elite and us peasants has never been wider. It's pre-French Revolution, pre-Russian Revolution wide, and growing bigger by the day.
As Jerry Seinfeld once said: "This isn't going to be good for us. This isn't going to be good for anyone."

Strangely- fast food becoming a luxury could increase life expectancy….

Luxury? It’s slop. These companies will find out being extremely cheap and convenient was the entire appeal 😂

The Inflation Reduction Act was a joke. Can we have our Tax Money back???

My mother was just complaining about the price hikes at McDonalds, I told her that is a good reason to stop eating at that place & maybe she will live to be a hundred. Go to your local dollar store or dollar and a half store or whatever it is in your area due to inflation & buy some lettuce, bread, tomatoes, onions & some chicken breasts & make some chicken sandwiches. You get the best of both worlds, the chicken covers the McNuggets & you get a burger. While you are there, buy some oatmeal & start eating the breakfast of champions, its cheap & probably healthier than a sausage McMuffin at Mickey D's.
