if taxpayers are required to pay lawsuits for the crimes of police then taxpayers should have a say in who is hired to be a cop, how they are disciplined and when they should be fired. id rather spend my tax dollars to supplement cops purchasing personal liability insurance than continue to pay for their crimes after they lose lawsuits. ABOLISH QUALIFIED IMMUNITY AND REQUIRE COPS TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR OWN BAD BEHAVIOR....NOT TAXPAYERS.

Taxpayer monies should not be spent for the misdeeds of reckless, multiple offending officers.
