I've spent years in what I consider an idolatry lifestyle and am thankful for the ability to learn Torah tanakh and studying with many knowledgeable rabbi's.
Thank you so much for your time, teaching and dedication of Torah and hashem.

There are many things that I don't understand in the Torah, but I accept it because all of it comes from HaShem Elohim Tzevaot, and He knows better. My love for Him is the fact that He created me, and He is my Father, best friend, and I love Him more than my human father. I am eternally grateful to Him. Without Him, I would be nothing, non-existent! That's the way I feel about my God. Blessed is He!!

Thank you Rabbi for, among other things, making the point that Shapiro is not the spokesman for learned & observant Jews. While I generally find myself agreeing with Ben’s political commentary, I cringe when hearing many of his points regarding morality, theology, and exegesis.
Having made Baal Teshuva @ 56 years old I am certainly no expert on Talmud but many things are absolutely clear. For instance, HaShem NEVER demanded of ancient Israel “Thou shalt have slaves. He who hath no slaves shalt bear my wrath”. Rather, He simply instructed those who already engaged in slavery to do so in a way that aligned, as you state, with His values.
Finally, the crystal clear language of the last 2 verses of Psalm 147 attest that HaShem gave the Torah exclusively to Israel and that no one else has the requisite skills or knowledge to explain it to us. Engaging with non-Jews who display a sincere passion for learning is fine. Those who merely seek to undermine 3, 300 years of Torah learning and observance don’t deserve a platform such as Ben’s.

How wonderful is HaShem!!!! HALLELUJAH!!! I just can't understand why there are people who don't believe in the Creator of the universe! If only these people would read the Torah and ask the Almighty God, Creator of the universe, to show them His Glory, what a great miracle would actually these people would experience 🤔!!! BARUCH HASHEM!!!

Also by עבד עברי there is no קנין כסף in other words he doesn't buy the person just his services so the whole question doesn't begin?

BE CAREFUL. Bad leftist media will tale advantage of Ben’s lack of deep Torah knowledge.
With due respect. He’s brillant, just focused on secular front.

The problem with responding to these type of accusations is the type of your response, falling for their narrative when you actually only have to stick to the Hebrew scriptures as they have their own narrative, that begin with all men are created in the image of the Almighty and Joseph’s mission is to abolish slavery of the inhabitants of the mighty controlling empire greatest empire of the time and if you understand that and follow the theme through, you understand that the entire purpose of the Hebrew message is the development of wisdom, while freeing the world from it’s enslavement

Actually in the bible of a slave runs away from his master you have to protect him.

Ben's lack of Torah understanding is infuriating me. I wish people with questions on Torah would go to authoritative Jewish sources.

i'm getting the impression the 'slavery' we think of today, didn't exist back then. the word 'slave' is named after white slavic people during the barbary slave trade, and hence "barbaric" for the way they were treated... slavery didn't exist in america until a former black indentured servant sued his indentured servant.

I know a better way - if your guilty of grand larceny, go to jail for a few years and be put to work for 5$ a week

Where in the Torah is it suggested that the Torah is incomplete without additional future writings? Where does it suggest it must be "elongated?"

Maybe the idea is that slavery has always and will always exist as long as humans exist

How did you know where is a mandate and where is not?
What are those defined words that says "owning a slave is not a mandate"?

I’m sorry, but this complete deference despite any critical understanding sounds more like the abdication of morality than an embrace of it.

What about an eved canaani, those privileges afforded to an eved ivri dont apply to an eved canaani. I would have answered along the deeper ideas behind tikkun of non-jews, like we find by eliezer the servant of avraham, where he reached such perfection through learning from avraham that he was one of the very few people in history that went to heaven alive
