Interesting theory, but I disagree. Imu is the only one who's immortal. Doflamingo said that Law's devil fruit can grant immortality at the cost of the user's life. And I don't think any of the gorosei received eternal life. The elders are all celestial dragons, when they die they will be substituted by other celestial dragons.
The reasons why I believe none of them try to steal Imu's position.
First, they are raised to respect and serve Imu from the moment they are born. Breaking away from something you're told your entire life is very hard.
Second, they have no real reason. Being born as world nobles already made them very powerful, rising to the position in the gorosei even more so. Why risk everything when they already have everything they could possibly want or need.
Third, Imu is probably very powerful. I imagine Imu is one of the strongest characters in the series. Killing her wouldn't be easy. And the punishment for attempting would be severe.
Fourth, If Imu were to die, it would throw all world nobles into chaos, which could potentially destroy the World Government. There's no guarantee that the other celestial dragons would follow the usurper. It would probably lead to a chaotic fight for the top position. And if someone tries to turn all the celestial dragons against Imu, Imu would definitely find out about it and punish the perpetrator.
In other words, the risk is too big.

This is a great theory, because she never ages her kids are significantly older than her. Also there’s a theme where admirals are all men, so this male recurring theme makes sense.
