It's only me but, I would go for the room with the toilet and shower inside my cabin. It's worth the extra cost for me.

The Roomettes are cozy enough for one person. It worked well on the trip - all of my luggage went in the upper bunk. It was quiet and calm, which helps when you’re really prone to sensory overload…

Right away I see the price has risen astronomically from about $467 to $850, after the pandemic. That in and of itself is indicative of the lack of availability of equipment and the need for better scheduling for the same. The traveling public is waiting for Amtrak to resume dinning services for coach and business passengers as well and not to just relegate them to the below standard cafe’ fare just because they’ve paid a lower ticket price.

On a Superliner, a roomette is just too coffin-like. It's better on a Viewliner.
