Great little engine. I found a 69 Ghia that was heading to the car crusher! My son and I are working on it together. Our goal is to get it running and on the road and enjoy driving 👍✌️

good video, are you doing the friday night street legals ?
I'm just in the final fit and tune on my 56, running a cb performance 2332, I would be interested in what you come up with for jetting, I haven't got into that yet.
I'm 5 min from the track, look you up down there in the spring

Get a Gene Berg traction bar it will get rid of the wheel hop. Also the engle 130 cam is a bit small for your motor. Still nice runs and beautiful bug!

Yeah, I figured the Webers may have come set up that way. My carbs are Solex P40’s. Hard to find stacks for them and when you do, folks are asking 5 or 6 Hundo for a set.😫

Cool whip! Gorgeous build, balls of steel driving to California. Or further than 5 miles from your house. I must not know how to put a VW together to save my life if these trips are somehow still possible in an aircooled without being followed by a Toyota with a flatbed car trailer.

Go with 1.4 ratio rockers, there's a well worth while gain for not a lot of money. Do the jeting on a rolling road afterwards.

Very nice build, Bravo! Noticed your velocity stacks, any suggestions where I might get similar stacks for my 356SC engine?

nice i miss my bug days i had two of them was my first car first love 75 bug clone as a 60's and dropped with porsche rims.18cc dual weber baja stinger pipe all my buddies laugh at but i thought it looked bad as i was 15-16 years oid when i asked my old man if i could have his old non running vw...i 48 now and wish i could find another vw bug but FUCK a piece of rust no motor no floor pan 60-70 bugs are going for a lot more. They are getting rare..unless u go to south of the border custom bugs down there are on a different level then the cal look style bugs from the 90's
