TODAY'S VIDEO: parts I don't like in kpop songs I like

Hey guys, hope you're keeping well! It feels like I've been gone for so long again, time has been passing by so quickly but I'm back today with another upload!

A few months back, I uploaded a video titled 'parts I like in kpop songs I don't like', and it got such an overwhelmingly lovely response, so thank you so much for that! A lot of people also requested that I do another part to the video kind of flipping the idea on it's head by doing a video in which I talk about the opposite: parts I don't like in kpop songs I DO like, so that's what we're doing today!
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to do, but thank you for such a fun suggestion, I really enjoyed creating this video and sharing some of my honest unpopular kpop opinions!

These are simply just my opinions and parts I don't particularly favour as a humble kpop stan / kpop youtuber!

Dayoung’s aegyo just kind of went over non korean fans haha. The aegyo is supposed to be cringey and referential to the 80/90s anime haha i LOVE IT it’s so camp and just supposed to be silly

I feel like no one will agree with me on this one, just bc this line is known as SO "iconic". But here's mine: The "Oh my gosh! dont you know I'm a Savage?" Part in savage by aespa. I feel like its kinda cringy

In Savage by Aespa the one part that honestly makes my soul want to shrivel up & die is the whole "My naevis we love you" thing like LMAO it invokes such a strong cringe from me

Having an english line in kpop is a big risk. It'll either turn out good and become an iconic line or make all english speakers cringe, like there is no formula to separate those two possibilities or guarantee a good result. Sometimes most meaningless words like "electronic manic supersonic bionic energy" make a song turn legendary and sometimes they make everyone question like girls or mx

“Naevis we love you” in Aespa’s Savage is super cringe in Savage. I generally love this song but parts like “Omg don’t you know I’m a savage?” and “Naevis we love you” weren’t necessarily needed…

dayoungs aegyo is supposed to be like a magical girl anime protagonist!

I love dayoung's aegyo verse so much it's so camp dude like they just went 4 the over the top-ness and i love it

the only thing i disagree with is dayoungs part, i think her going super over the top is a mockery/parody of other kpop songs with aegyo parts. it’s a little cringe by but it’s just so camp i love it !

I agree with most of these except Inception. I can live with that breakdown even though it may have been stronger to let the song end with that breakdown as you said. For me, even though it's iconic, the bad bing bada boom parts could've been removed in How You Like That by Blackpink. Instead the beat playing would've been fine.

The breakdance in Inception is actually my favorite part of the song. And mine would be in bp's — How you like that— the "Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane" Like ugh I hate this part so much !

It's funny how we all have different tastes. I like that part in Inception. It does feel a little misplaced. But that beat is so interesting for me. And you are right it would have been better if it was towards the end.

dayoung's part is so iconic for me cuz in my language 80's and 90's dub also sounded just like that, specially sailor moon, so nostalgic

The first thing that comes to my mind is Mark's rap in the bridge of Got7's You Calling My Name. It's literally my favourite title track of theirs, but that part is just so cheesy

i've got one! in "movie star" by cix, the very beginning part with the whispers: "i wanna play with you, you wanna play with me" and then when they do it again at the end💀 i LOVE that song but that part is just soo unbearably cringe for me. really could've done without that and the song would've been perfect without it imo

Ahh yeah the "Hot like Chilli Chilli" part just spooks down the already Creepy Mysterious Song. That part doesn't go together with the song, but it would in "Rica-rica" (despites of the issues happening with that comeback)

I would also add ailee's murder on the dance floor to the list or more specifically next to ycswu. I love that song so much, the vibes, the vocals, half creepy half powerful feelings throughout the song it's fantastic. But when the beat change and ailee starts rapping, i can't get used how fast everything changed. I know ailee personally wanted to try this, she worked hard on her rap and I respect her decision&work but still that part always feel different to me

I didn’t know there were people who didn’t like sunmi’s rap, it’s one of my favorite parts I always look forward to when I listen to that song 😅 but I absolutely hate soyeon’s rap in tomboy it completely ruins the song for me 😭
