Nissan Brings Back Iconic Yellow for Refreshed Juke Crossover

Nissan has unveiled a mid-cycle refresh for its popular Juke crossover, headlined by the return of the iconic yellow exterior color option not seen since the previous generation model. Along with the eye-catching new paint choice, Nissan has made a host of upgrades and enhancements to the Juke's interior, technology, and driver assistance features.

The most notable change is undoubtedly the reintroduction of a yellow exterior, responding directly to customer demand. The new yellow hue is slightly paler than before, giving a more modern, vibrant look. It makes a particularly strong visual impact when paired with the new N-Sport trim, which adds black accents on the roof, wheels, mirrors, and other exterior design elements.

Inside, Nissan focused on elevating the ambience and quality of the cabin. There's a redesigned center console and instrument panel with improved materials and trim, including new leather-like surfaces with enhanced tactile feel. Connectivity sees a boost as well, with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display, inclined towards the driver for easier access. The digital instrument cluster is now a 12.3-inch TFT screen with crisp 1920 x 720 resolution and customizable information displays.

Other tech upgrades include faster voice recognition, wireless Android Auto to complement Apple CarPlay, and the ability to display incoming speed camera and fuel price data in the nav system. Rear passengers also benefit from the addition of USB-A and USB-C charging ports.

N-Sport models feature distinctive interior yellow accents as well, with matching stitching and Alcantara seat inserts. Seats have been redesigned across the range for better comfort. Ergonomics improve thanks to an enlarged glovebox, reshaped door armrests, and the adoption of an electric parking brake. Wireless phone charging is now standard on N-Connecta and above.

On the safety front, Lane Departure Warning joins the standard equipment list for all models. Higher grades gain access to features like Emergency Lane Keep Assist which can automatically correct the steering if you drift out of your lane. The rear view camera sees an upgrade to 1.3-megapixel resolution for better visibility.

Mechanically, the Juke continues with the same powertrain options. This means a punchy 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gas engine making 117 horsepower, or the electrified Hybrid model which combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor for 25% more power. Fuel economy improves by up to 40% in the city with the hybrid option. Both engines drive the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

On the outside, Nissan freshens up the Juke's color palette beyond the headline-grabbing yellow. There are two new metallic shades — a purer pearl white with extra metallic flake, and a richer dark black that sparkles more under the light. New multi-spoke 19-inch wheel designs feature across the N-Connecta, N-Design and range-topping Tekna trims as well.

Overall, Nissan has smartly enhanced an already successful formula with the updated Juke. Efforts have clearly focused on the areas Juke customers value most — stand-out styling, interior quality, and the latest tech features. The return of the iconic yellow paint option in particular shows that Nissan listens to feedback from its enthusiastic owner base. For drivers seeking a head-turning, fun-loving urban crossover, the refreshed Juke presents an even more compelling choice in a competitive segment.
