Thanks so much Rick! I'm pretty technical and have Synology NAS as well. One thing for my mac computers and not so much for Windows computers is in the terminal when I wanted to do the ./iperf3 command it said it couldn't be verified by the developer. The workaround is the iperf3.exe in the downloads/desktop/etc is right-click the file and open. This will add it to the exemption list and then allow you to run commands. This might help other mac users that have fresh installs or tighter security.

lost me at the terminal showing the other machine on the network. How did you link to it?

I think another great video to do, is to show people how they could use iperf3 to test their WAN connection. This can be achieved by using their public servers.

lost here. I've looked at all the tutorials for installing iPerf3 on my MacOs and nothing on the client side works. All I do get is a zsh or bash 'command not found'. I have the Docker app installed on my Synology and that appears to be running just fine but I cannot get any traction on my Mac. Anyone have some constructive suggestions?

i get an error message saying iper3 can not be opened, because it can not verify the developer and i can only click "delete" or "abort" .. any idea?
