As just a kid, only a few years old, my parents would always play Coldplay songs like this (clocks, sparks, God put a smile, speed of sound, etc.) Now whenever I listen to them, it takes me right back to those moments. I wish I was still that young, so innocent, nothing to worry about, just living.

Damn. I'm looking at the comments and realizing how this album seems like it was made for the broken and alone and when you think about the first time you listened to it, maybe you had that good entire body and soul cry, the kind of cry that puts you to sleep right after because maybe things haven't gotten better but you feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and that's freeing in it of itself, you realize you weren't alone because for 4 minutes and 9 seconds we were all there, if only we knew at that moment. I mean L ook at the titles Warning Sign, Don't Panic, Everything's Not Lost, they cradled us with to sleep with these lullabies when we swore the world was crashing down on us and we'd never sleep again. Now my life is way better and these songs just bring me peace in seeing how much things have changed. Don't even get me started on Sparks UGHHH!!!

my mom would always put this album on when we were little to help us get to sleep on car trips. My sister and I never made it to track 4... to this day this entire album brings back so much nostalgia and I will put it on to get to sleep ocassionally. Still can't make it to song 4 :-)

Parachutes is by far the best album . I hope when they release a new one it'll channel some of parachutes soul and simplicity, not so much techno pop.

There is something about that electric guitar part at 1:07 that makes this song particularly stand out to me. It makes me feel as if there is something that I'm missing in my life that I should have been striving for long ago. This song is perfect for describing that feeling. Thanks Coldplay ;)

She told me how it had her in tears, because she isn’t ready to die. It broke my heart, especially since I’m always helping her, her caretaker. My mom is so strong, and I almost lost her 5 times in the last two months. I love you mom, so much. I can’t lose you, I can’t imagine it mama..
