Let me put it this way. Several independent labs have stated a lot of their food contain the same chemical used to make Styrofoam and concrete as a "holding" effect for a longer shelf life.

I guess flash freezing means you can still call it "fresh" even though it may not see a grill for 3 or 4 months.
