I like how a lot of scenes in the manhwa is from ML pov. How she dances in his eyes, how she trembles, how her expression changes. It gave me a tingling feeling and idk how to put it into words. It's like I'm falling for the FL through the ML

This manhwa is realistic. It shows how trauma can affect a person. Though I have heard from the novel readers how they feel Ruby's trauma was belittled in manhwa or was not shown as much as it should have, I still am pretty impressed with the depiction. The ml is also one of my favourite ones bc he just doesn't fall in love with Ruby bc of her beauty or just bc he married her and finds it nice to spend time with her like the mls do in most manhwas. The ml considers the rumours and checks for himself if the fl is really like that. He doesn't know anything and she is trying to hide her trauma so well, so even tho he notices her trauma little by little and feels so bad about it, he doesn't want to make her uncomfortable. So, he decides to find it out little by little himself, tho regrets later for not asking earlier. Even in the previous life, he had loved Ruby with all his heart. He knew she was gonna harm him and his family but he prolly noticed something in that life too and could never bring himself to kill her or even stop her by making her go away. He genuinely loves and cares for her. And that jerk of her brother, Cesare is such shown so well as a psychopath. He is clearly obsessed with Ruby but never hesitates to harm her or use her. He gets so pleased when he sees her in fear or gets to know she was hurt. That sadist b*tch has traumatised our precious Ruby so badly, which is an accurate depiction of some psychopaths who say they love the person only to toy with them and get pleased to see people get hurt. I feel disgusted everytime I see him.

I really don't understand why people hate the male lead when he didn't do anything wrong, I mean he didn't treat her badly, from his perspective he married a woman of an enemy country that had been married 3 times already, and that had a bad reputation that could have been sent as a spy also when he asked her about her scars she didn't tell him about the truth and he was very gentle with her, the thing with him is that he doesn't know how to be around her, he is a clueless and a little brute, IDK why people want him to understand and know everything about her when he isn't a mind reader and fall in love instantly its kind of stupid from people to hate him and the webtoon kind of exaggerates the drama from the novel

Fun fact. How to get my husband on my side, is based on a real story and real people. Ruby is based on Lucrezia Borgia, here's some info about her Lucrezia had been married 3 times and one of them was Izek but his real name is duke Este Ferrara. Lucrezia did not love him and didn't have any children with him. Sadly Cesare is also a real person he go by Cesare Borgia, he was killed by a fatal injury from a spear. I'm not sure if the incest thing was true but as far as i know it was just a rumor
