Wish I would have had this last year in New Mexico when I got stuck in a blizzard for 2 days with absolutely no That really sucked. What made it worse is that dispatch didn't even know I was missing! What if I would have had an emergency! I gotta get one of these! Also a personal locator beacon would be a good emergency back up for when I'm waaaay out in the BLM cruising the trails where there is no signal at all. A personal satellite locator beacon could be a life saver as well! HAPPY TRUCKIN'

Does the phone have to be near the inside antenna ? Or if you are in a motor home can you move around inside and keep the same signal strength?

How far can you be from the inside antenna? Did you try the laptop in the sleeper? Did you test uploading a video? Thanks for the review. It's good to know that if you break down in the middle of nowhere this might save your bacon.

Understand this, you ride in a faraday cage..

unless you have a window open you will not get cell/wireless service..

something designed with DATA in mind and installed on the outside of the trucks cabin will always have better performance value than a phone whiich may 20/40 km range of service...

personally I would consider something within the satellite arena as a service of choice with options with fallover capacity LTE/4g/3g/2g voice/1g voice..
