The weboost Drive 4G-X Cell Phone Booster is a must have for RVers. We camp a lot in the Blue Ridge Mountains where cell service can be weak in some areas. On a recent trip we stayed at the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area where typical reception on out iPhones was 1 Bar Extended 1x, no phone service, no internet at all, and maybe you could send a text. With the weboost we were able to bump our Verizon cell signal to 2 bars LTE - 4G. Phone reception was great as well as the internet.

Great review! The inside antenna will operate as a omni antenna if place it vertically. This would give better range inside. Still up to 6 feet range. I tried this and it does work better. I found all of this out by going to wilsonamps.

Thanks so much for the presentation - was very helpful indeed! We have a 5th wheel rig whereby I mounted the same type of outdoor antenna (which is an upgrade) high on the end cap pretty much the same as you. I additionally purchased a low signal loss 4' rg58 cable (expensive at amazon about $60) with male/female sma connectors. The additional cable run went inside, down behind an interior wall, then outside, and along the underbelly to about a mid entry point (40' 5th wheel). I hot glued the power pack, and re terminated the 12volt connections to a bus bar for + and - electrical connections, and then finally mounted the inside hershey bar antenna underneath an office desk. The cable loss, all in all, is only 3dBm with a gain of about 40 dBm. The only part of this system that i don't like is the indoor antenna, because for max boost, I need to place the smartphone directly above or essentially right on or over the indoor antenna. That's fine for one device, but this system is capable of supporting 4 devices simultaneously. So I"m considering a purchase of another indoor antenna with better inside signal boost distribution - understanding w/o interference to outdoor antenna will be key. Yeah, distance wise, the separation from outdoor to indoor is about 25 feet so I think I'm good if I should decide to swap out the indoor antenna.

Great installation! I'm thinking about doing the same for my motorhome. I'd like to get a spring-mounted antenna for the 4G-X, but don't know where to get one. They sell a trucker kit with a fixed-mount antenna, but that's no good for the RV, which is probably about 13' to begin with. So, where did you get your spring-mount antenna AND the bracket you used to mount it with?
