Don’t forget when a player is using Shield and you hit them their grid breaks. For example they’re using standing shield and you hit them with a crouching move, that instantly breaks their grid.

You're mixing up Chain Shift and Vorpal tbh

Vorpal is the state
Chain Shift is just the cancel mechanic

There are also character specific things called Vorpal traits in this as well.
