It has a brilliant, huge display, one of the biggest of any smartphone on the market, and comes with a host of new features Google has added to the new Pixel line, including Geminigh Live and some cool visual capabilities, However, there's some tough competition out there. Samsung just recently released its latest foldable phone earlier this summer, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and we were very impressed with its solid design and feature-rich package. But how do both phones compare against each other, and which one is actually worth your time.

Just got my first foldable phone this year when the Samsung Fold 6 came out. The front screen is perfect for fast and quick text messages.
If the Pixel 9 Fold and the Fold 6 came out at the same time, I would have probably still bought the Fold 6.
Samsung does offer aggressive savings when pre-ordering. I bought the Fold 6 1TB with 2 year warranty, Samsung Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds Pro 3, and cases. Samsung gave me more than $1200 CAD discount on the spot (not the in store credit nonsense) so I ended up paying about $4, 000 CAD instead of over $5, 200 CAD including taxes.
The only thing that would have made it perfect is Wifi 7 which the Pixel 9 fold has. I do have 2 Asus GTBE-98 Pro in mesh with 10 Gbe backhaul and 3 Gbe up and down internet. All my hardwire connections are all 10Gbe including my Synology 120 TB NAS. My Fold 6 can only use Wifi 6E and my speed tests are 1750 mb up and down which is still okay.
Can't wait for the Fold 7 next year!

One drawback type c wired headphones have been a little tricky to find. Wireless are the trend but drain battery and open get lost. IPhone still offers Wireless wired headphones. I hope they don't become a lost technology.

I chose not to purchase the Samsung z fold because of the front screen size and will purchase the Google Pixel fold because of the front
screen size.
