how long should you wait to brush your teeth after eating? #shorts

You should wait AT LEAST 30 minutes before brushing your teeth after you eat or drink anything other than water.  And if you don’t have time to wait 30-60 minutes, and you REALLY want to clean your mouth after eating, here are two other things you can do in the meantime:

1. Drink water. Drinking and swishing with neutral water will help neutralize the pH of your mouth.

2. Chew xylitol gum or suck on xylitol mints. Xylitol is so so so good for teeth, especially after eating acidic foods.

I hate the feeling of having food stuck in my teeth. I was told I was crazy for carrying a toothbrush, dental floss and toothpaste in my cargo pocket when I was in Iraq. 😁

Same for using an asthma inhaler!! Most doctors tell them to brush right away. NO, rinse with H2O!

I will get Invisalign aligners next month and will have to wear them 22 hours per day. How do I handle the challenge of waiting 30-60 minutes after eating, before brushing, if that will "rob" time that the aligners need to be in place (because I cannot insert them until I have cleaned my mouth)? Is the only solution to eat fewer than three meals per day? 😕
