Thanks Joseph, I feel like an old dog learning new tricks. Off to try some nettle and will always look at primroses, not just as food from now on but also the colour of an old ladies bathroom. You have a way with words my friend .

Great video. Unfortunately the Sun paper is reportedly saying more cold weather on the way really hope not as the blossom will suffer. I pick nettle heads and dry them out and grind them to powder to use all year round in food I prepare even pizza . The female seeds are safe to harvest in Autumn and I use them too. Fresh nettle leaves taste lovely cooked in butter and lemon juice taste like spinach.

I dry nettles in the oven and then I take about a tablespoon and use them in thin pancakes.

Super informative video, thank you! Spring has arrived in the Basque Country too I'm pleased to say. Nettles are on the menu for this week for sure but I'm a little uncertain about taking you up on tbe challenge of eating them raw😂😂. Will keep you posted.

The strange moss is actually a lichen, not sure of the variety but it is certainly a lichen.
