Wet Sanding Rustoleum 1000, 2000 Grit, G3 & G10 Polish Bonnet Test Panel

In this video I wet sand Rustoleum paint job and polish a panel of my recently roller painted rustoleum paint job on my VW T4 camper. The Rustoleum paint job gave good coverage but left orange peel effect so I wet sand and polish the rustoleum paint job on a test panel to see what type of finish I can expect before continuing with the rest of the van. I start wet sanding with 1000 grit paper on a variable speed polisher, then move on to 2000 grit sanding by hand. Once the sanding is complete, I move on to some G3 compound using a firm polishing head, then G10 using a softer polishing head before a final polish with black colour polish/wax and as you can see from the before & after pictures, it has brought up the shine from the paintwork great, so now I just have to do the rest of the van.....

Great job mate, I'm shocked how much of a good finish you got from a roller 👏👏👍👍👍

Nice work! Lovely finish, the van will look amazing if you get the same finish all over. I am thinking of repainting my own van and I have to admit I never thought of paint rolling until now :D and I work as a painter

Do G3 / G10 give the best results, or are the 3M products better ?

What thinners did you use for cleaning the equipment after use, cellulose, synthetic or Rustoleum thinners

Looks great! Can't wait to see the whole van buffed up although I thought you'd taken leave of your senses when you were rollering it on! Do you have a paint shop background?

Watching all of this kind of videos, trying to wet out what sort of visual improvement do you get from fine polishing.
The verdict is near enough none.
Fuck Finnishing polish!
