STOP automatic door unlock feature. Quick and Easy! Slider Crime Prevention | Easy Fix

When I took delivery of my new RAV4, I noticed the doors automatically unlock when the vehicle is put into park. I feel this feature is unsafe and in this short video I show how to disable the automatic door unlock feature. I now feel much safer in my car.

Maybe it's just people from sketchy neighborhoods that think this, but this is the dumbest feature ever. Can't tell you how many times my heart sunk when i heard my doors unlock in the wrong area. Thank you for the video.

Looking this up after a guy tried to get at my car in the drive through when I was blocked off from either side and couldn't drive away. Thank god I remembered to lock the door manually. This is such a dumb feature !!

I JUST saw a video on GMA about "slider crime" and this feature was 100% to blame!!! I've always hated it on my RAV4 too; thanks for alerting us on just how easy this is to fix! Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want their car to automatically unlock like this!!!

My grandpa has a 2024 Cadillac AT4 SUV, he was picking up my grandma at work at 1:30AM when he parked outside to wait for her. The doors automatically unlocked and a stranger entered his vehicle and began harassing him and wouldn't leave until he went ballistic. This is THE STUPIDEST, most IDIOTIC feature I've ever heard of, I'm actually baffled. The doors unlock when you open from the inside anyways. Be safe out there and tell your manufacturers about the experience.

And as my wife put the car in park, the doors unlocked and I did not like that at I am always looking out for her safety. I don't know who thought this was a good idea. But thank you for your video and showing me how to turn it off!!😊
