There is no way an atheist would be opposed to having a secular government. It doesn't make sense for an atheist to be in favour of a particular religion. It's like an anti-smoking campaigner favouring a particular brand of cigarettes.

in this video alone, se cupp lies to america (whether she knows it or not), stating that america was founded upon jeudio-christian values, when in fact most of the founders were christians, congress and the declaration of independance go out of their way to remove any religion within the actual formation of the government.

She actually does in several interviews because people are always like "you're an atheists conservative WTF!?!" Her view is actually that she has no belief in God in any fashion and she wishes she did. She has said many times she wishes she could find what people of faith have, but she cannot see it and it bothers her. One quote is "I cannot lie to people and say I believe in something that I don't no matter how much I wish I did." So she is being pretty straight with folks I believe.

When she doesn't talk about politics or try to present points in a debate, she seems quite bright. I'm not sure why she can't seem to translate that into political discussion. The media has massively shifted right over the past few years, especially regarding Fox News and radio. As "mainstream" media has rapidly morphed into "corporate" media, many far left issues aren't even presented. The word "liberal" is often viewed as a dirty word in the media. Conservatism has gained considerable ground.

She's not an atheist, it just doesn't make anywhere near as much sense as the hypothesis that she's just a christian trying to give more credibility to her statements, or even just trying to be unique.

I'm not religious, either, but I have friends and loved ones who are, and I find this argument to very condescending toward people of faith. They don't need the media to reinforce their beliefs, and they are not harmed when certain people in the media question their beliefs.

Cupp sells herself as non-religious, and yet expresses so much concern about Judeo-Christian: if she doesn't need religion, why does everyone else? Is religion just for the lowly masses who can't think for themselves?

Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli states; "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

S E Cupp's pretence at belief in a Judeo-Christian basis to the founding of America is denied by the documents set out and agreed upon by the Founding Fathers. America is atheist.

If it felt like my religion was being marginalized in any way by the actions of a Christian, then its probably violating the Establishment Clause and shouldn't be done.

What's wrong with secularism? It's non-denominational. It means you don't have to be a Muslim if you don't want to, or a Christian, or a Buddhist; secularism is best for laws because it's based on ethics and science not religion and feelings.

Being an atheist means that you're not scared of the population realizing that a secular society is what is best and that the population losing their religion is not necessarily a bad thing. She's a poser, especially noticeable since republicans (or right-wings), which is what she is, believe in a non-secular state, more specifically, a state partially run by the Christian Catholic Church. However, she has the right to defend people's religious choice, if she chooses to do so.

Being religious i don't like unfair attacks but i also don't like this idea that the liberal media is to blame, it's far more complex then that.

I wish I could remember who said this, but I can't say it better. "S.E. is the Uncle Ruckus of atheists." There is absolutely NO reason to mock her because she presents herself over-glamorously, the content of what she is saying should be focused on (e.i. no reason to be sexist). If you attack her for THOSE reasons, she just comes back with: you just can't handle me cause I'm so damn sexy. Trust me, S.E. that's not why.
