AFTD 2023 Education Conference: Understanding The Unique Needs Of FTD Care Partners

Because of its unique symptoms and the young age at which symptoms often appear, FTD can be especially frustrating and emotionally overwhelming to care partners and caregivers, particularly when compared with other dementias, such as Alzheimer’s disease. This session looks at BOLD, a federal public health initiative on dementia caregiving, and specific issues facing caregivers. It also highlight two studies showing how broad dementia-support programs can be adapted to the unique needs of FTD.
