It’s FTD: Navigating the Emotions of a Diagnosis | AFTD's 2021 Education Conference
Показать описание
Presenter: Mary O’Hara, LCSW
Moderator: Bridget Moran-McCabe, MPH
Many emotions accompany an FTD diagnosis: anger, worry, fear, sadness, and grief, to name just a few. To best cope with and respond to these emotions, persons living with FTD must name and acknowledge them, understand their roots, and give themselves permission to feel them. This session teaches how the emotional response to this disease affects one’s sense of self, sense of control, and relationships -- and offers ways to best care for oneself through the FTD journey.
