I’ve been pulled over more than a dozen times in my life. 90% of it I was let go with a warning. Treat the police with respect and they will respect you back. Simple.

He said the light was yellow when you entered the intersection. As long as your vehicle breaks the plane of the intersection before the light is red it's not a violation.

Everything not to do during a traffic stop.
Don't reach for anything. Keep your hands on 3 and 9 o clock.
Don't fiddle with objects and don't try to hand an officer anything he hasn't asked you for. Don't tell him you have cop friends. Never reach for anything before the officer approaches your vehicle.

I have never in 25 years had an issue with a cop I open carry a pistol everyday in Michigan I have never had an issue while doing it and as far as the whole fidgity thing and reaching around iv been pulled over multiple times I reach over to my glovebox grab my papers go in my back pocket grab my Id never once have I even been questioned about it alot of them appreciate being ready to make it quicker on them so you BOTH can go about the day

In Texas as long as you’re past the white line before the light turns red you didn’t run a red light.
