The wired HoriPad for switch is my favorite.
It's $20, it's really high quality (it seems like it should be $50), it's also got a swappable dpad. The only issue is that it doesn't have amibo or gyro. But other than that, for $20, it's the perfect controller for a PC/phone (if you have an adapter)

As someone who used to review Switch hardware, this guy is solid. However, it still pales in comparison to the Switch Pro Controller. I know the Pro Controller is the more expensive option, but it is just far superior in every way. Other notable controllers are the 8BitDo Pro 2, which is FANTASTIC, and the PowerA FUSION Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch. The PowerA one is more expensive, but it comes with a lot of extra features, including extra button attachments, detachable faceplates, and a sweet carrying case.

Again, though, I cannot stress enough that the Pro Controller is simply the best. It's worth the investment, and it is honestly one of the best controllers in the last 20 years across the board.

I bought the gulikit joycon replacement sticks. Installing them wasn't too bad honestly. And much cheaper than a new controller too :)

for me Joycons were free (came with console), comfortable (can hold one in each hand), and I never experienced stock drift 4 years later still to this day

I have had my Nintendo Switch for 3 years and never had joy-con drift. You might not believe it but it’s surprisingly never happened to me. The only controllers that I have that have stick drift is my old third party N64 controllers and an official Nintendo Wii Nunchuck. Yes joy-cons are uncomfortable and extremely overpriced, but I don’t understand the whole joy-con drift thing because I have never experienced it.
