Agreed. The controller is superb. Love the huge buttons on the right, it has a killer d-pad, and the battery is to die for. Well worth the extra $10-15 when considering how much superior the build quality is to the PS4 and Xbox One controllers.

It was too hard to give it a 9 they had to give it 8.8, also why is it too high of a price for $10 more when you get a 40 hour battery life, compared to a 6-8 hour on the ps4? And also amiibo reader, really good gyro controls, and hd rumble...

Didn't copy Xbox controller, just made similar controller to gamecube controller which came out before the first xbox. I hate hearing people always say Nintendo just copied, jeez.

honestly this controller kills everything else out. the only reason I can think of that would put it behind others is that people diiss it purely for being from Nintendo. it's solid all around and offers some extra bits too.

Let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that this is the first console generation where every console has a controller that isn't merely serviceable, but truly excellent. There's not a Dualshock 3 or original Xbox bear claw in sight.

You know I'm surprised no one has really mentioned just how revolutionary using motion controls to aim on a controller is (I realize motion controls have been around for a while but the Switch is the first time I've seen it implemented so impressively and accurately). After playing Breath of the Wild for a few weeks I went to playing Tomb Raider with an XboxOne controller and it drove me nuts that I couldn't do those minor tweaks to get headshots with motion controls. EVERY console should get on this bandwagon because it actually felt like the first time that playing with a controller came anywhere near the accuracy that you get with a keyboard and mouse.
