This is one of the best channels on YouTube, so glad I fell asleep and somehow woke up on a video from this channel.

I'm almost done watching all of your videos and this one is by far my favorite. I love that you didn't just stand there answering the questions but instead you put so much work to it!

You truly are an awesome human being. Not because you are a doctor, there are 100, 000s of doctors. But because you communicate the profession in such an amazing way, heartfelt and interesting. I’ve been lucky enough to mostly have drs who I feel really care, from my GP to my oncologists to my psychiatrists. Your a true animateur makes me proud of the system we have in the uk, despite its hiccups and problems. People like you make that extra bit special. Thankyou. X

I’m 27 and working in advertising, and I’ve been dreaming of taking the leap and study medicine for years. Your story inspires me and makes me feel like it could be possible, so thank you for sharing ☺️

It's really cool to see someone coming from a really different background to medicine, I did music but it really wasn't enough for me. I love having that creative side but all the reasons you mentioned about leaving advertising for medicine are the same reasons I've been mulling over. I'm just trying to sum up the courage to actually apply plus studying for UKCAT/GAMSAT coming from a non science background is a bit of a learning curve 😂

This is such a well made video! It’s so nice to have an MD YouTuber from the UK who’s been through a smiliar education system as I have (I study in ireland) most others are from the US and the differences can be striking

I've had that same Laptop in High school. It's still working.
I was programming in pseudo-language, looking forward to become a computer programmer/engineer or become a photographer.
Turns out, I decided to become a registered nurse. I realised that I liked fixing people way more than computers and the reality of it.
As for photography, I had the opportunity given as a theatre nurse (up to the end of this week) to take pictures for the doctors of procedures, which were included in posters and presentations.
I believe that love for coding never left me, since I've gotten a MSc in Mental Health and am considering to take up the Psychiatric Nurse Specialty, where language and behaviour have a special gravity.
As one House M.D. fan to another, I was waiting for your videos to happen for years. I wasn't successful in finishing my long before initiated comic with a House case including Willy Wonka and an insulinoma, but if I at some point get some time on my hands... I wouldn't call it a closed case yet.

Dr. Hope, you have idea how inspiring this video is. All those specialties are incredible choices. Your last name alone proves, you were born to be a doctor.

I am a graphic designer, and chose the the field because it combined art and computers.... two things I always enjoyed. However, recently I have been considering a career change, to become a paralegal and eventually a lawyer. Creativity is an amazing thing, but sometimes is not satisfying enough. Like you, I want to help people, while also craving true intellectual stimulation. As someone who always enjoyed history, and found the American Constitution to be a groundbreaking document, part of me was always drawn to the legal field.

I used to work in software development (android), and now I'm a medical student, and I can really relate to what you said about that software development is awesome and every thing but it just not fulfilling, can you make a video about the transition between the two fields, cause I'm really searching for motivation to get me through med school, and it's great to see that someone could have better experience in what is ahead of me.
Love your videos BTW <3

I am so curious how talented you are. I can see you have been playing music, working in
advertising and then a doctor and a successful youtuber but still you are so young, you inspired me so much. I just thought how did you manage your time! I started my medical interpreter school last year (English/Japanese). I was not a science student but I found I really enjoy it. May I ask how do you think about medical interpreter?
Respect everyone who truly wants to inspire others. Thank you :)

I just noticed you only have 35k subscribers- I've been sharing your videos...

I found you much like Bradley did, fell asleep watching something... SciShow maybe? I don't remember, and woke up to one of your vids. It seemed great, so I went back to the beginning and hit subscribe after I watched it from the start!
