Tesla FSD Sentry Mode Light Flashing

When Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature is active, and Sentry Mode is enabled, you might notice the Sentry Mode light flashing at times. This is a normal part of the Sentry Mode security system, which is designed to monitor the surroundings of the vehicle when it’s parked.

Recording or Alert Mode: Sentry Mode has detected motion or potential threats near the vehicle. When motion is detected, Sentry Mode shifts to Alert Mode, which activates the camera system, records video, and may cause the lights to flash briefly. This light flash is meant to signal that the car is actively monitoring and recording the surroundings.

Threat Detection: If the threat escalates (for instance, if someone approaches the vehicle too closely or makes contact with it), the system might enter Alarm Mode, where lights may flash more frequently, and the car’s alarm could be triggered, including loud music playback and horn honking.
