New Graffiti artists often struggle with hand styles, whether its with letter structure, style, flow, or some other fundamental. Well in this article I’ll point out 3 things you should look out for as a new graffiti artist. One of the most common mistakes new graffiti artists make is overcomplicating letters. In their eagerness to create unique styles, they may distort letters beyond recognition.

My guy. Haven’t tagged since I was like 21-ish (38 now), started when I was like 15. Never really “stayed” with it, would just go on and off here and there. Just recently wanted to Really get back into it. Grew up in a Small, Small a** town and never had anyone to show the ropes. There actually may have only been like 2 maybe 3 people in my whole area that even dabbled in it period. Your vids are the Best and the basic fundamentals is So helpful and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Get up my guy! 🎩

I remember you from years ago, glad to see you've been consistent with the art stuff, I should follow suit, I don't draw nearly enough.

I'm definitely gonna get the digital black book, hopefully submit something! Love your videos, took me from making a g with 8 boxes in a TAG to stuff I'm really proud about (idk if it's actually good I'll let others decide) thanks for the help, your great (:

Quite a few of those distorted ones were more my speed, distorted letters are great imo.

It's not just don't what he's telling you to do either. It's understanding the concept of what he's talking about also. Cause I'm tired of seeing plain shaky letters out on the street. I load freights so I see it daily, and it's sad how low the level of graff is compared to the other eras of graff.

Simply grinding it out is the most counter intuitive thing

I gotta disagree, I love distorted letters, although you should learn to walk before you run.

Is it good that I normally will either do a halo with 3 lines coming out of it and either quotation marks on the top of the first letter and bottom of the last letter or I'll do a halo with the 3 lines and a underline and that's it or just the quotation marks if I have a arrow from the last letter

Fractal layers of epistemic contradiction. Thanks for the advice, but please don't tell me how to express myself. Some of the best tags I've ever done were in direct opposition to the "fundamental" principles you just dictated.

You're very cocky. And I believe you've earned it, so respect where respect is due, but learn to think before you speak. It's what the Irish call a "walking around with a "never been punched in the face attitude" "

On the positive side, I definitely did learn something from this video. Just not what you might think.

Here I go again being a trickster poet
