'Utterly irresponsible' and 'selfish': Harris slams DeSantis

Vice President Harris responds to NBC reporting that Florida Gov. DeSantis is not taking calls from Harris about storm recovery, just over a week after Hurricane Helene hammered parts of his state. "Playing political games with this moment in these crisis situations... it's just utterly irresponsible and it is selfish," Harris says.

I'm in Gainesville. We need all the help we can get. Florida doesn't have a state income tax, so we rely on federal funding for disaster relief. If he is ignoring the vice President and the president, that's very petty. This isn't time for political theatre.
