Bitwarden sounds like the best option. Thanks for doing this!!!

Long time keepass user here, just moved to bitwarden a few months ago and I love it! The free tier is great but I paid for premium to support the developer and I get 2fa fido support.

Is there a way to share passwords “secretly” with the other ones? As in, without the recipient seeing the password, but being able to access your login.

I switched to Bitwarden due to this change of lastpass after few researches and it is good so far

Bitwarden fits perfectly for my usage and I will definitely recommend it to everyone either just starting to use password manager or moving out from Lastpass.

I’ve been using KeePass for more than 10 years and I love it.

Well, that's a great current status of current tools! Thanks Shannon! You saved me a lot of time investigating available options!

I use Bitwarden now. I was able to export/import my passwords from LastPass in 3 minutes. It is just as great as LastPass.

This video is very timely since some researchers just announced that Lastpass has 6 trackers on its android app. I am currently looking at all the options you mentioned to see if I can find something that does everything I need for less money.

Hi Shannon, as an addendum since some sort of subscription to a manager may ultimately be necessary, and of course to support the devs, how about pros ans cons to paid options? The next video could include, $$ vs features, ease of migration to and from, support for secondary pins (extra/custom fields), interface (as clunky-ness, quirks, etc), and supported platforms. I don't know how long the video would be (or the amount of time for research), but WOW, that would be a great which is best for you video (and a TLDR chart thrown in) :).

I've moved from a mish mass of Chrome and Keychain, then to Bitwarden, then to LastPass, and now I'm on LogMeOnce. Bitwarden was definitely the coolest but I had issues with it overwriting passwords from the same domain on import. There was also a really long password that I use to remote control my vehicle which wouldn't import due to length. Because of those issues, I salvaged my Chrome and Keychain imports and put those into LastPass and here we are today. After trying out LogMeOnce, it works fairly well but lately the autofill has had some jank on Android. Sometimes I need to manually open the app and unlock it to get it to work and other times it will give the option to autofill with Google or Apple logins on a totally random site. Going to give MyKi a try next and see if there's any usability issues. If it doesn't work then I'll switch back to Chrome and Keychain I guess. I use both Chrome (and now I've switched to Brave) and Safari the most and originally switched away from these managers due to the annoyances of having to sync up passwords between the managers... And then manually typing when I occasionally use Firefox.

I use lastpass for work, so expense it. But changing to another one for many is a good idea.

And I'd love to see an indepth review for honestly all of them, but Bitwarden for a good start.

For the sponsor, that clock was AWESOME.

As a Premium LP user, I need the Notes capability that it has for each website. I record the password, Security Questions and an other data I need to remember. I also appreciate the Secure Notes you can have....I just looked up my TSA number for a recent trip. If Chrome would add those features, I might move.

I'd love an in depth analysis of Bitwarden, specially the self hosting feature. Great vid btw

Lastpass exports all passwords as plain text (CSV). I recommend exporting use a clean install of Tails Linux on a USB with persistent storage enabled, probably better using a live CD. Just make sure to check the PGP signature of the Tails Linux first to make sure it wasn't tempered with. And make sure your BIOS is clean too. Whether or not to use Tails Linux comes down to trust, trust there is no malware in Tails and that the signature is correct. And pretty much the same goes for the OpenPGP you use.

I guess Log Me In finally messed up Lastpass. I’m not going to lie. I thought it would have taken less time
