➡️ LastPass changes explained:
First thing’s first: Previously LastPass allowed unlimited devices for their free users, but starting March 16th it became a choice – unlimited mobile or...unlimited desktop devices. So now you have to choose between having LastPass on your desktops or...mobile devices.

Second thing, that’s more important in my opinion. Starting May 17th, free users will no longer be able to use email support. Yup, the thing I so condemned about other services is now here with LastPass! Of course, their library of self-help resources is still there for you, but it’s not always helpful enough and we all know how time consuming that can be.

➡️ NordPass password manager:
NordPass has a free version that you can use across multiple devices, mobile and desktop alike. There is no limit to how many passwords you can keep, which not every free password manager can allow. However, you can only have one account active at the same time on any given device, so you won’t be able to run it on two desktops or a mobile simultaneously, which shouldn’t be a problem most of the time.

➡️ Zoho Vault password manager:
Another good option to consider is Zoho Vault. Amongst free password managers this is the only one packing a staggering amount of features available free of charge. Adding up the fact that you can store unlimited passwords on an unlimited number of devices makes up a great password manager for sure! Being able to use it offline and set up two-factor authentication are just the cherries on top. Although, this cake is not without a drop of salt, as Zoho Vault only has mobile apps, if you’d like to use it on desktop, you’ll have to use a browser extension, which is not optimal for many people, including myself. Just, keep that in mind.

➡️ KeePass password manager:
And the third option is KeePass. This one is a little different, as it is focused on the tech-savvy users. Being an open-source project, KeePass is highly customizable, you can build its functionality from many options, which is extremely difficult for casual users. Despite that, KeePass offers many great security features, including a password generator, encryption and two-factor authentication. The hardest part is to set it all up.

❓ Why do you need a password manager❓
It doesn’t matter how long you spend online, heck, even the casual internet user will have at least 3 sets of passwords to remember and store somewhere safe. The main point is - they add an extra layer of security. Data within password managers is protected by encryption ciphers. Most password managers can also analyze your passwords and propose changes, if you have weak or compromised passwords. Not enough? Well, how do you like an extra layer of security in the form of two-factor authentication? Some password managers will even allow you to make a multi-layered protection that will make your password vault completely bulletproof.

I like the security part of it. I have about 4 phones but I only use one or two. Lastpass gives me 6 options to verify my account and I have installed almost all 2fa apps For lastpass Like Microsoft authenciator, duo mobile, lastpass authenciator and so on on each of my phones so that when I lose access to lastpass then those phones can help me get it back. This is great because I can access Lastpasd through 4 phones with 2fa installed. This is the part I like about it and I'm not sure if other password managers give users as much choice about 2fa authentication with their accounts as Lastpass :D

Any free options for encrypted drive support. I know the one thing that is hard about leaving google completely is the drive but I would love to make the break away.

I had the premium LastPass. I couldn't get into my account. I still can't. I think a class action lawsuit against them is warranted but no, I'm not a lawyer.

What is the big deal about ditching LastPass. That is all I have been hearing. $40/yr? Big deal. We blow $40 at the bar or filling the tank. Last Pass is great.

NEVER GET LASTPASS! Their support is non-existant. When you complain on the forum and call out their mods for purposely not helping, they ban you.

Lastpass is just sh0oting itself in the head. Many people will leave because of this. Unusable free version and overpriced paid version. LastPass's greed will come back to haunt them
