You obtained the schematic for an ultra high-capacity tank when you were investigating one of the wrecks (19 I think), which I think would probably help you out a lot. The re-breather might also be worth creating as a bit of an oxygen boost.

I love how the creatures in this game feel real. That one thing thought you migjt be food until you bashed it and then it went 'whole lotta nope!' and buggered off. The cave hopper things respond to pain and flee when you stab them.

It is all very concincing.
