i remember my mom downloaded this game to check out what it was like. the first time she got jumpscared by a creature, she accidentally took about 36 screenshots while trying to close the game. we still look back through them and laugh our asses off

Yeah, I hate those Void Chelicerates. For such a big creature, they really shouldn’t be able to sneak up on you like that! The Ghost Leviathan from the first game was cooler looking and scary, but not as scary imo because you could see them coming, or hear them sound their battle cry. Not so with the Void Chelicerate. First bite will almost always come by surprise. And they can sail right through a wall too, so don’t think you’re safe just because you’ve got some terrain to cover your back or side. They can spawn in and charge at you even from that direction.

Fact: He didn't get scared by Void Chelicerate but the rock 0:58, because when he got jumpscared by Chelicerate he just stopped game, but when he got jumpscared by rock, he quit game.

The below zero void in my opinion is even scarier than the original game’s void, just because of how unceremoniously and suddenly a void chelicerate can appear. With the ghosts in the base game, you at least knew they were there after their scream and seeing their bright blue colouring.

Perfectly timed attack, made me jump. Yesterday I was looking for the alien tech in the volcano and went out for eating a fish with the thermal knife, one of this mfs gave me a really big bite, almost 90 HPs lost, after rushing to the seatruck the same demon made a reaper leviathan move, grabbed my ST and started to eating it, thanks God I had the Pikachu module.
A terrific but fascinating creature, 10/10. I was missing the fear of the original Subnautica
