How to make Linux Bootable off a USB Stick (Live USB)

This is a complete noob friendly tutorial which will teach you how to make any linux operating system bootable from a usb. By creating a live usb you will be able to test what ever distro of linux you want on any computer with a usb port.

I don't understand why there are so many negative and derogatory comments on here. I am 65 and always enjoy all the "how to" videos that are available from such young people. Unfortunately while so many of them are obviously very intelligent and have a very clear understanding of their subjects, very few are able to so clearly express what they are trying to demonstrate. This was an excellent "how to" video that provided detailed step by step instruction that most anyone would be able to follow. Thank you so much for one of the best "how to" videos I have ever seen on YouTube. Even 5 years ago you were quite a professional with a real knack for teaching. I wonder how much better you are now.

Install the operating system in a multi boot from a live USB. You could even fully install the operating system to a portable hard drive or USB by clicking the install button and choosing the right place to install it to within the live USB. The install icon is usually on the desktop.

Are you setting the bios to boot off the usb? It has to be the first hardware device the computer looks for to boot off.
