I definitely misheard this as “when you tuck your children in at night tell them they won’t survive til morning”. 😆😂

This is why I refrain from “looking forward” to things. In effect, wishing life away

My mother always is telling me, “when you’re running late, you need to take the longest way.”

I catch myself rushing all the time! This is so true. I need to remind myself of this. Thanks for everything Ryan. I’m a huge fan.

I believe in this so much!!! And i get so irked when people are rushing, and when they try to rush me. Don't rush, instead, *be present* .

I value these so much. They really helped me over the course of the last few months to view life through a different lens. That really makes me appreciate life more.

This made me cry. My 16, 14, and 9 year old girls still want me to tuck them in at night, and I admit sometimes I wonder if they will ever reach a point where they don’t need that anymore. From here on out I’m going to approach that with a different mindset. ❤️

Just being in the present makes me feel alive and appreciate every moment. Instead of thinking that I have to be somewhere, I just say to myself this present moment is suppose to be where I need to be.

This is probably the thing I can’t imagine or I’ll just cry. I just remind myself that rushing things with my kid will simply set me for regrets.

Beautiful message. I usually don't consider myself a person who is in the present, because I'm very future and plan oriented. But I do belive that once you have planned to do something it's better to take it slow in order to ensure the quality of it. I noticed most people tend to just want thing to "be done" or be over with. Whereas I like to focus on HOW something got done and how close that approach brought me to the best possible quality I could have achieved with that activity and whether I'm pleased with it or not. I'm focussed on improvement and constant growth. And in order to do that you have to stop every now and then to asses the details of the situation. All of that can't happen when you go fast.
