Autism Parent Workshop: From Co-Regulation to Self-Regulation

• Promoting and assisting your child with self-regulation
• Stimming and its importance on regulation

Aubrey is the Autism Program Coordinator at RUSH Kids – DePaul. She is a neurodiversity affirming therapist, who is passionate about empowering children and families to reach their goals. Her treatment focuses on helping children learn through play, self-regulate, develop independence in their daily routines, and carry over skills across their natural environments at home, school, and in the community. Aubrey co-leads a Developmental Diagnostic Clinic which provides specialized testing services and individualized treatment recommendations for families seeking answers regarding their child’s development. Recently, she started Foundations for Learning, a therapeutic early childhood program that takes a multidisciplinary approach to preparing children with the foundational skills needed for entering academic settings.
Monique is the Autism Program Coordinator and the lead SLP for the Developmental Diagnostic Clinic. She recently started Foundations for Learning, a therapeutic early childhood program, at our Hinsdale location, which will soon be available across the pediatric market. Monique is passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration and providing comprehensive evaluations in order to individualize her services. Monique is a neurodiversity affirming therapist, delivering strength-based and engagement-focused treatment approaches for all of her clients. She strives to establish meaningful relationships through naturalistic and play-centered treatment activities to ensure that the skills uncovered and introduced can positively impact the child’s communication outside the 4 walls of her therapy room.
