The funny part is the 2.7L is actually a worse supercharger and can't produce as much boost without breaking or overheating the air. And dodge under-reported the power in the original hellcat, so when releasing the red-eye they didn't have to improve it much to get to the stated horsepower numbers because the original cat was already stupid close in power output. Original hellcat's with the 3.09 gearing and same wider tires will keep up with a redeye. Making the biggest defining factor here, the tires and rear diff.

Redeyes are essentially over priced badge packages.
