Great advice, 100% agree. I have a 5 month old show cocker and he's in his crate a lot of the time. He's only out of his crate a max of 1.5hr and is with me, the rest of the time he's in his crate. I use it for him to decompress especially before and after walk/training. Thanks as always 👍

Hello, I’ve got a 7 month old female cocker spaniel who was originally crate trained, but as you stated we got content and only used it of a night or when we go out, so she’s fallen out of routine a bit and does get separation anxiety when we leave to go out as she cry’s, whines, barks and howls and sometimes urinates, she occasionally does it of a night too when we go to bed, so we let her out to go toilet and she doesn’t always go and sometimes thinks it’s play time. So we’re in the process of retraining with the crate, giving her less attention to calm her down and using toys like a kong for stimulation to keep her occupied on something else rather then us when we go out to see if it helps with the separation anxiety, but not all the time as we don’t want her starting to get use to getting a toy when we leave and relying on it every time, as we want her to naturally relax, until the retraining process starts taking mold again. It’s just our neighbours recently complained about the noise when we went out shopping as she was howling, barking etc for the whole time, as we do have a camera to watch both dogs on too.

My question is we are going to
Use this much needed advice from this video. But we had a yr and half German shepherd who is crate trained and is good when left alone in or out of crate.

Would you recommend us, putting both dogs in one crate for their relaxation time or separate crates. Just so we can know how many to purchase going off your advice.

You mentioned doing a video on resource guarding. Have you one? I’ve seen videos with completely contradictory advice, ie take it off them/never take it away from them

Thank you for your educational video's! What size crate do you use for a springer spaniel?

Hello,
Im new to owing a cocker spaniel, we brought one off a breeder who recommended your videos for training and guidence.
I have a question about crating this 8 week old pup.
When we put her in the crate she howls and wines, is it a matter of sucking it up and being patient and letting her to accept it .
This new puppy also bites like a demon also, hopefuly like you say, its just a puppy stage.
Thanks for your amazing videos.

My 15 week working cocker has a fortunate situation in which someone is often home during the day with her. Given this, how long should we make her training sessions compared to her time in the crate? Thanks for any information!

Hi mate, hope you are well. Unfortunately had to say goodbye to my 15 year old dog recently and am looking to get a Springer in a few months time so have been doing alot of research and watching your videos so I am as prepared as I can be. It's been a long time since I did crate training so wanted to know if it's okay to have 2 crates in the house or if I should just stick to 1? Id ideally like to have a crate for downstairs for enforced naps and calm time etc... but would like to have one in the bedroom for night, paticularly for the early stages when bringing the puppy home, what is your opinion on this?
