I used a 1/2" drill bit for the pilot hole. the 1?2 inch anchor doesn't seem to fit. or my drill isn't strong enough to force it in. what size bit did use use to pretrial the concrete??? 1/2 inch, 9/16, 7/8???

I want to mount my fence on top of a retaining wall, the retaining wall is sloped so mounting on top isnt an option. Would you be comfortable drilling spaced holes in the middle of the postmaster post (in the channel section) and using the same anchors to mount the post on the backside of the retaining wall? I could easily get 3-4 feet on the side of the wall with spaced anchors before the post rose above the top of the wall.
