It was a suicide, the man knew what we was getting himself into when he didn't pay Boba Fett and he knew that he was going to end up killing him. he had nothing left to lose he didn't have any money he didn't have any Imperial Glory didn't have his wife or his ship. All he wanted to do was see her one last time before he died.

Boba's actions here make me respect his character more. Most bounty hunters would probably have left him to rot in his sorrow or kill him much more violently. Boba gave him what he wanted and quickly. At worst he was rather annoyed about this for wasting his time for little pay.

Understandable, I once loaned 30 euros to my brother and I was furious when he paid back only 29, 95€. If I remember correctly my reaction was actually pretty identical to that of boba

Seems to be his sole intention was suicide by Fett.

Getting to see his wife one last time and then get executed by Fett was planned for and intended, I think. That's why he agreed to pay "half" up-front. It was all he had left as far as credits, and not being able to pay the other "half" would be justification enough for Boba to give him his final wish; to be with his wife again.

They made that Imperial look really human instead of being typical evil Imperial. All he wanted was to hear his dead wife say his name one more time and when he died, he died with dignity and without any regrets.

It was actualy Boba Fett who destroyed the Death Star because Tarkin refused to pay him .... and well, since .... oviously, word didn't go around, the Emperor did the same mistake several years later.
