From there on Jodie Foster went on to be a two time Oscar winning actor, writer, director and one of most respected people in Hollywood.

I remember seeing this on HBO around 1978, then my mom told me this was the same girl in Freaky Friday. I couldn’t grasp that, I was like 10 years old and adored her in this and thought she was nasty in the latter!

The beautiful, and most talented, Jodie Foster.  I just loved her little freckled face cheeks, along with those sparkling blue eyes!  What a little sweetheart!
Jodie Foster, you are still and always will be that #1 gal!!!

Would be nice if movie studios like Walt Disney and United Artists on reuniting Johnny Whitaker and Jodie Foster for their upcoming 50th Anniversary of their films, "Napoleon and Samantha" (1972) to join with Michael Douglas, and for "Tom Sawyer" (1973) to join with Jeff East and other surviving cast members from the 1973 film? In the 46th Academy Awards, Johnny Whitaker and Jodie Foster sing a duet of their rendition of "Love" from Disney animated film, "Robin Hood" (1973).

Wish there was a clip preserved of the song segment where Tom sings "How Come" - remember the lyrics: "How come, I feel the sun, laughing up in the sky . . . ". This captured his feelings of infatuation and that sense of how beautiful everything seemed when "love" struck. I'll admit, that cute Becky Thatcher caught my attention, too. Hope somewhere there is a remnant of this movie and someone posts this. As touching as the song "If'n I were God".

I just got here from one of Jordan Petersons lectures. You can clearly see here that men use the image of women’s perfection to motivate themselves. All of what Tom Sawyer is trying to do here in kneel down at the image of female perfection by trying to get close to the feminine. Young women have no idea enamoring they are towards young men
