Respect man, I have been taking cold water baths for the last 2 years no matter what the temperature outside. I know how hard it is at times...so, genuinely, respect

Try moving around while you’re in the water the whole time. When you stay completely still your body will form an isothermic layer of hit between the water and your skin and make you warmer. Moving around prevents that from happening and will deliver higher results!

The coldest I’ve done in 51 degrees for 10 minutes. Nice job

It also builds stamina, overcoming fear and adversity, control over the body, detachment from pain and equanimity, which leads to inner peace and mental/spiritual strength.

Apparently it's even colder on your body if you are constantly moving in the water, as it stops a protective layer of heat building around your skin. And then to stand with arms to the side and dry off in the air not moving after the plunge

Once you work your way up to being good at this start moving your body around in it to break the layer that keeps some of your heat in, its much colder and a little harder than just sitting and tensing in the water

Cold plunges are the shit!! Nothing better than pushing your body and mind to the limit. The gym I go to has a cold plunge built in (48°F) and it’s absolute killer after an intense leg day. Nothing like it!

Me and my friend did thus and we competed against each other trying to be stupid and stay in for a long time like 5 minutes it was amazing getting out of it . After like 2 minutes your body just gets use to it and it’s not cold anymore .

It extends lifespan too! Make sure to dunk your head under!

My friends daughter just got her Masters(in nursing I think it was) and she said it also helps release toxins in the body.

At what time of day do you do this?

How do you control the water temperature in something that big outdoors?

Yo homie when you're in the water move around because when you stay in one place your body gets used to the cold and it has a warm layer, but if you move your body doesn't create a warm layer, but still you can feel the cold even if you're in one spot

If you move around a little bit instead of just sitting still it’ll actually be a little colder and better

Longest I’ve done was 5 minutes in the lake at grand lake Colorado. It was about 29 degree water. My dad should be posting the video on YouTube at some point
