If you have cable (RG-6) already run throughout your home, consider using a MoCA network. I bought a couple of MoCA adapters. One is connected directly to my main Asus router and it is also connected to a nearby coax outlet. Another MoCA adapter can then be connected to coax outlet elsewhere in the home which will have speeds tantamount to a direct connection to the main router. I actually have a second Asus Wi-Fi router configured as a Mesh router (backhaul) that is connected to that second MoCA adapter. So it provides Wi-Fi or you can connect directly to the Mesh router. I have several MoCA adapters spread throughout my home and the signal strength is equivalent to the main router.

Your language and graphics are very easy to understand. Very well explained so that we can easily know the difference.

Hello want a piece of your advice. I have a TP-Link Archer AX72 Pro as main and another router TP-Link Archer AX53 lying around. So, my question is that both routers support easymesh as well as onemesh, so is it possible to use the latter router as mesh network wirelessly/ethernet backhaul connection. If you know please help cz i don't wanna through my old router as it wasn't that cheap😅

I’m a little confused by the diagram. I have a modem > Main Gateway Router (“Mesh” wifi7) > Switch > Two Satellites Nodes (wired). Am I using a “Mesh” network with wired backhaul?

For starlink gen 3 router which system is much cheaper? Wired mesh system or AP system

Thanks for great vid! I'm looking at mesh bridge to connect it to my basic wifi access point via lan cable. One room seperates two devices. Won't wifi from my access point interfere with the other device?

Can you set up AP mode to have seamless roaming across each unit? Or would I have to connect to a new network/AP when going from one side of the house to the other?

Any recommendations for a good access point on a budget? Greta video! Thanks 🙏🏼
Edit: it would also be great a how to set up the multiple access points without interfering with each other. Like a channel assignment etc.

If i have a mesh unit like the Deco, but use it as a wired access point, do i get the benefits of the access point set up?

Good comparison video. But now I have a question: it is the end devices that choose which network to connect, and all devices we use today will remain connected to the same network until it's signal is completely lost. This applies to windows, Android and ios. How do you accomplish: if the signal on this ssid is lower than x db, then scan networks and and connect if the other known network is x db better than the current one?

I had one app on android that managed to do this: SWifi and it worked perfectly until.. It did not anymore and it is no longer developed.

Does mesh system have any advantage at this point (somehow, I don't know)?
I currently have two access points and transition between them just sucks. Using the same ssid or different ssid won't change this behaviour, as the devices still will remain connected to the current one until signal is completely lost.

Edit: smartwifiselector seems to do the job for android

I love how you explain this stuff thank you!

Still so confusing. What if you always going to use ethernet backhaul but absolutely need seamless roaming and one of nodes must be weatherproof. Should I go for mesh or multi AP? There don't seem to be weatherproof mesh nodes out there.

I am building a new home which is currently under construction. I am keen on getting a good wired wifi system and I am confused between wired mesh wifi vs Access points vs using router as access points (as it is cheaper). As per my local wifi guy we will need around 10 access points/router/mesh to cover the entire house of 3 floors. What do you suggest?

For existing owners using router + ap combo, installing a wifi switcher app will enhance the mobile ability to auto switch to the better ap. It's configurable too.
