Saying that incest is wrong because society says it’s wrong as an argument against people thinking that homosexuality is bad is…not a good argument. Society used to believe that homosexuality was bad. Here are some better reasons I think we could argue that it’s wrong.
1. It’s a drastic power imbalance. Your family will always be your family. They will always have some kind of power over you and are not your peers.
2. It has a negative consequence on potential offspring and the mental state of the people doing it because it creates a huge amount of dissonance

My argument against incest and for homosexual relationships is there is an evolutionary advantage to homosexuality but none to incest. Homosexual penguin couples adopt orphaned eggs.

I'm gay and I grew up in an evangelical Baptist church. My whole life I had to be around adults and other people my age who would say the things that this monster would. I remember crying myself to sleep every night because I was told that I was "sick", "disturbed", "unnatural", and many horrible things that were untrue. These people can't be argued with because they take being proven wrong as a personal attack on their cult, they're not supposed to be wrong because they're taught that hate and ignorance is "love". I genuinely hate these people. Love is love, it's okay to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc. These people are insane comparing LGBT+ relationships to incest. It makes absolutely no sense.

I remember when I was a fully involved Mormon and I would explain my twisted views on homosexuality. I'm embarrsed with my past self.

“People of the past were smarter” back then most people who weren’t high ranking priests and political figures lived very miserable lives, neurodivergent children being suspected as changelings, and dug up graves and destroyed bodies because they believed the freshly deceased were vampires.

Mike is so deep in the closet. He's only making these arguments because he has to convince himself. I think that's why he sounds like he's getting emotional, because he's fighting against his own desires.

I hate it when they say "keep it behind closed doors"

If you see it, it's the usual PDA. Holding hands, non-spicy kisses, things you would see from a hetero couple in public. Just general relationship tomfoolery.

If it's sex, you're not seeing it unless you're looking for porn (or involved), because sex in public is considered indecent. This is a rule for hetero couples, we aren't normally having sex in public.

Tell me again how this affects them? They tell me that I'm "forcing the lifestyle on them" I'm not forcing them to watch as I hold hands with my partner. If you see PDA, Just go on with your day like everyone else.

He begins by equating homosexuality with incest, which surely is a dangerous area for an evangelical bible literalist. If you consider the Genesis account(s) of Adam and Eve to be a true version of the origin of mankind, then you quickly realise that a lot of incest has to take place if the population is to increase from an original pair.
I once had a discussion with a Christian who was insisting that marriage can only be between a man and a woman for the purpose of producing children. I asked about whether a single man and a single woman who were older should be permitted to marry if there was no possibility of having a child. They said that being older, they had probably had children from their earlier marriages, and this was fine as they were making a bigger family with their existing offspring. Naturally, I said that might be so, but if neither had ever become a parent, should they really not be allowed to marry. I got a typical fudged answer about marrying for companionship being OK, and at least they weren't the same sex. You sometimes have to hear the things Evangelicals say to realise just how twisted their minds can be.

People like this always come off more like they're trying to convince themselves than others.

Answer to all his questions: Incest is wrong because it leads to genetic diseases.
He won't say that, because that is the easiest way we can know that the story of Adam and Eve never happened, and also the story about Noah never happened. Their descendants would have died off after the second generation.

Parents and children is wrong, because of the horrible power dynamic, the same reason why relationships between adults and kids are wrong. But he can't say that, because the bible doesn't have any age limits, and the bible actively engages in the very same power dynamics.

So, while we have good reasons to condemn those things for completely secular reasons, he HAS to pander to a vague understanding of "natural" to justify his bigotry. Because the *real* reasons all contradict his faith.

9:15 “it takes a village, ” or the original “it takes a village to raise a child” saying refers to the original standard way children were raised. They had their initial set of parents, but the entire town would work as a unit to teach and give the child new perspectives and skills as they grew. This configuration of raising a child was the most popular until about 200 years ago, during the rise of single family housing and the Industrial Revolution tearing towns apart.
