Omg I have been studying for a year on duolingo and with books from 30 minutes too an hour a day and i took college Spanish. . Of course I understand more than I thought I would but I've never felt like I was going to be able to speak it without a lot of expense. I studied Spanish and lived in Puerto Rico for 5 years. That was back in 1994. Needless to say although my ability to speak has somewhat been retained, my comprehension has plummeted.These lessons are perfect for me because in many cases they review what I know, but more importantly my ear for Spanish is coming back as you teach what really are the common phrases and constructions. I am trying to do one lesson every nite. I can't tell you how much I enjoy this. I especially like the your pace since it gives me a chance to repeat what you say and make sure my accent mirrors yours. Muchisimas gracias!

This was such a helpful series for anyone wanting to learn Spanish in real life! This would be especially helpful for anyone who wants basic skills needed for a move to Mexico or any other Spanish speaking country. Conventional classes yield far fewer results in my opinion . This not being a popular series just means folks weren’t ready to put in the effort, etc. Again, very helpful for me as I get ready for my move to Mexico.

This is exactly how one should learn a second language. The cognates and ideas presented here establishes the foundation. Subsequent to that - one just has to practice and explore (and correct) conversations in a newer settings. I am so glad I found these - am a self learner but language is my passion.
