Create 3D Text Emblems with Illustrator

In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how to create 3D text with Adobe Illustrator. We'll be delving into some of Illustrator's more advanced features, like perspectives and offsets.

Best tutorial on this yet. So simple. Most tutorials, you never really grasp the concept of what your doing. You just go along step by step. But, your pace is excellent for those of us still learning. Kudos.

If you can't get the perspective distort to work, which it took me a while to figure out why (I'm a noobie), go to the "Object" dropdown at the top and click flatten transparency. No settings need to be changed. You can try it again and it should work.

I can't seem to get past the point at 3:01. I try pasting in place and make it black, when I choose send to the back it doesn't work.. please help?
