S. Korea, U.S., Japan to hold trilateral anti-submarine warfare exercise in waters off S. Korea's east coast on Fri.

South Korea, the U.S., and Japan will conduct an anti-submarine warfare exercise on Friday in waters off Korea's east coast.
This is the first time in five years that the three countries are holding such an exercise in the East Sea.
The South Korean Navy says the exercise is aimed at strengthening readiness to counter North Korean submarine threats,... as the regime continues to develop its submarine-launched missiles.
The American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Regan and its strike group that are currently in the region will also take part.
