Honestly that tunnel one is a lot cooler since it contains the sparks and looks like a border the spell would have. Hell, you could explain it as an early version of the portal spell where it maps the surrounding area then projects a perfect circle in the center based on the surroundings

just a tip. you need to light the subject with the same color as your portal (in this case, you need to use orange lighting around yourself when taking the picture).
the portal glow, and your subject also need to be effected by the light the portal produced.

It’s easier to see that there are two different places in the tunnel, plus it doesn’t spread out as much which fits the authenticity of the movies.
Still cool tho!
