There are various causes for low intraocular pressure or low eye pressure. Common is the injury to the eye the other causes are uveitis or inflammation to the eye or overuse or abuse or glaucoma medications and rarely certain surgical procedure can also cause lowered intraocular pressure. Management of lowered intraocular pressure depends only the cause we have to correct the cause. There is no way we can increase the pressure without correcting the cause. If it is a trauma or an injury which has caused or an injury or an open injury and the eye globe is open in that case we have to close it or in some cases there is cyclodialysis which needs to be repaired. If it is an inflammatory condition such as uveitis causes less intraocular pressure the uveitis has to be treated with steroids. If it is overuse or abuse of glaucoma medications then it has to be appropriately corrected. If a surgery has caused this problem then it can be because of inflammation or injury to the tissues. Appropriate corrective surgery needs to be performed. There is no cause for lowering of intraocular pressure, there is no treatment for lowered intraocular pressure.
